Core Design Principles for AI at Thinkrr
When designing for AI, we prioritize several fundamental factors:
User Agency: The user always remains in control of the AI's actions. They can configure, decide, and undo operations. Trust in AI is built when users understand the data they provide and can modify it to safely utilize the technology. This goes hand-in-hand with calibrating user trust by designing a system that keeps them informed of key events and prevents unexpected AI decisions.
Avoiding the "Uncanny Valley": When designing human-like avatars, we are acutely aware of the "Uncanny Valley" phenomenon and strive to avoid designs that cause user discomfort with the overall look and feel.
Heuristics in Action:
Error Prevention: We empower users to test campaigns before launch, allowing for early error detection and correction.
User Control: Users have precise control, such as the ability to edit the exact time calls begin.
System Status Visibility: Clear visual indicators ensure users are always aware of their system's current status.

Designing for Every User: From Novice to Expert
Despite its pervasive presence, artificial intelligence can still evoke apprehension, even among technically proficient users. The fear of making irreversible mistakes or "breaking the application" can lead to paralysis and a reluctance to embrace the technology. At Thinkrr, we aim to demystify AI, demonstrating that it is a powerful, user-friendly tool for everyone, regardless of their technical background.
AVA introduces the concept of a "scenario," a pre-built use-case template that simplifies the creation of outbound calls. Users can initiate campaigns by merely filling in essential call script fields, eliminating the intimidation often associated with complex prompts and technical configurations. We empower users to create their campaigns and agents by providing only the minimum necessary information.
Soon, users will also be able to interact with AVA through voice commands. While not all users are comfortable speaking to an AI, a virtual agent will always be available within the application. Users are now able to filter through more than 20 scenarios (prompts) using tags, and soon be able to combine voice requests with traditional search methods. AVA is designed to anticipate user needs, learn from their business, and predict the optimal way to create agents and campaigns.
Meaningful Notifications and Clear System Status
Notifications are a critical component in the design of any AI application. Users must be continuously informed about events and decisions made by the AI, with the ability to edit parameters or halt processes at any time.
We have implemented a comprehensive notification system, encompassing a centralized notification hub, in-app push notifications, and email alerts for the most critical updates. For instance, the system will proactively notify users when they are nearing their minute limit, allowing them to top up their accounts and prevent any interruption to active campaigns or virtual assistants.
AVA prominently displays relevant information on the screen, enabling users to effortlessly monitor and manage their virtual agents and campaigns. Users can quickly identify agents and their statuses, access detailed call histories, edit agent configurations, and even test a call via a web interface before making it active.

An Exciting Future Ahead
The Thinkrr team is developing exciting new features to further empower our users. We will be adding new actions for virtual agents and expanding our outbound use cases to cover an even broader spectrum of business needs.
Among upcoming enhancements, we will incorporate advanced analytics dashboards to provide more detailed monitoring of calls, campaigns, and agents, giving users even greater control. New languages, accents, and voices will be introduced, and users will gain the ability to segment their contact databases for more targeted campaign management.
